Vintage Konya Taspinar Vagireh Rug, 3.5 x 3.9 ft Handmade Wool Sample Carpet, Turkish Collector Rug

A distinctive vintage Konya Taşpınar Vagireh sample rug, handmade from wool and created as a decorative sampler showcasing a variety of traditional weaving motifs, border patterns, and design elements.

Unlike a conventional rug with a fully symmetrical repeating composition, this piece has a sampler-style layout, bringing together several different motifs within one textile. The central area features a large stepped geometric form enriched with stylized flowers and botanical details, while the surrounding sections display numerous individual pattern examples.

The composition combines deep red, rich blue, ivory, green, brown, yellow, and muted earthy tones, creating a highly decorative and visually complex surface. The variety of motifs makes this piece particularly interesting as an example of traditional Anatolian weaving vocabulary.

Approximately 70 years old, the rug carries the natural character and patina associated with an authentic vintage handmade textile. Its unusual format and sampler composition make it especially appealing for collectors and interiors where a distinctive one-of-a-kind textile is desired.

With its compact 107 × 120 cm size, it can be used as a small area rug, wall hanging, collector textile, entryway accent, bedside rug, or decorative statement piece.
