Vintage Konya Prayer Rug, 4.8 x 7.5 ft Handmade Wool Rug, Turkish Anatolian Prayer Rug

A distinctive vintage Turkish prayer rug from Konya, handmade from wool and featuring a traditional mihrab-centered composition with richly detailed geometric and botanical motifs.

The central field is dominated by a deep red prayer niche outlined with stepped contours. Stylized floral and tree-like motifs rise around and above the mihrab, creating a strong architectural composition characteristic of traditional Anatolian prayer rugs. The wide border is decorated with repeating geometric forms in mustard yellow, deep red, ivory, muted blue, olive green, brown, and black.

Approximately 70 years old, this rug carries the natural patina and character developed through decades of use. Its handmade construction, subtle variations in color, and naturally irregular surface reflect the individuality of traditional Konya weaving.

With its 145 × 230 cm proportions, the rug works beautifully as a prayer rug, bedroom rug, small area rug, reading-space rug, decorative wall hanging, or collectible Anatolian textile.
