Approximately 60 years old, it reflects the traditional village-weaving heritage of Anatolia and displays the understated beauty of an authentic handmade rug.

This type of textile is known as a mihrab rug or Turkish prayer rug. A mihrab is the recessed niche in a mosque wall that indicates the direction of prayer. Anatolian weavers adapted this architectural feature into rug designs, usually representing it as a pointed or stepped arch that symbolically defines an individual prayer space.

The mihrab shape is outlined near the upper part of the field, while repeated geometric motifs fill the interior in a balanced arrangement.
